The exterior design is, we think, masterful. It invokes the old one yet it’s completely modern. The boxiness is just right for a hardcore 4×4 SUV. It’s also subtly curved, not flat sided. Flat panels look makeshift and go wavy. The new Defender’s curves look smart and solid. The whole shell is immensely strong. So’s the suspension it rides on. It shares principles with the Discovery’s, but few parts. Almost everything is tougher. The Defender 110 has air suspension as standard too.

The amazing thing is how well it drives. It’s stately and dignified and feels good. On the road, it’s comfortable and surprisingly agile for a car of its size and has brilliant steering and handling – an astonishing achievement.

Its a very roomie 5 seater vehicle with plenty of room in the boot for all your adventure equipment, or the pram and your shopping 😉

Although this is the SE model its been very well spec’d. Over and above, the bumpers, wheel arches and wheels have been colour coded to Santorini Black, Sliding panoramic roof, Apple car play, Electric memory Black grained leather interior. Heated from and rear seats, Enhancing the visual looks, rear privacy glass was fitted along with an electrically deployable tow bar.
