The 2018 Toyota Hilux. Finished in this lovely Firenze Red with 18″ two-tone 6 spoke alloy wheels. Doesn’t it just look the part? It has such a presence on the road due to its sheer size and muscular looks. The front end has a lovely chrome grille, some sleek headlights, with daytime running light strips along to top, and also a set of large fog lights. This truck has all the top features you’d expect, black side steps to aid you getting into this large vehicle, chrome cargo bed bars, rear privacy and a massively protruding chrome rear bumper.

The outside screams toughness, however, the inside is a little different… Leather seats with the driver’s being electrically adjustable, a leather-wrapped multifunctional steering wheel and plenty of good-looking hard-wearing plastics with chrome pieces scattered around to break up all the black. Infotainment wise, you get a gorgeous central screen with everything you could ask for like SatNav, Radio, Bluetooth Phone connection and it’s also where you reversing camera appears with a guideline graphic.

Toyota is big into their safety features nowadays, like everyone else, and Toyota Safety Sense with pre-collision system lane-departure warning and road sign assist is a brilliant feature to keep you safe on the roads! Although, I’m sure you’d come out better off in the event of a crash…

Driving the Hilux is a real pleasure. You have a high driving position and a great view of the road ahead. The steering is as light as you like and the gearbox shifts in the smoothest of manners. Off-road and towing are the areas where this truck stands out the most. Insane capabilities off-road with its selectable 4WD ability and a huge towing capacity of 3.5 Tonnes! That is due to Toyota’s brilliant 2.4l turbo diesel with nearly indestructible qualities and a huge 400lbft of torque!

A 5-year warranty was given with this car when it was new so you won’t have to worry about any repairs for another 4 years!
