The C43 is just stunning. Finished in a gorgeous “Polar White” with a special set of 19″ AMG 14-spoke alloy wheels. This design is just indescribably appealing. The way everything flows so beautifully – the inside design of the headlights, the gorgeous swooping roofline, the slender rear lights and that ravishing carbon boot spoiler is to die for! Quad exhaust tips, a 4-fin rear diffuser, a sharp chrome front splitter and I’m going to mention the wheels again because, well, just look at them!
Inside the 43 is an amazing place to be. In front of you sits a flat-bottomed half perforated leather multifunctional steering wheel and a beautiful gauge cluster with race red needles. At your feet is some rubber topped sports pedals which at a kick of the leg can release that 362hp. The centre console is gloriously finished in a piano black with aluminium buttons and accents. Everything is such high-quality and has such a pristine feel to it, everything you look at reminds you of the standard of car you’re sat in.
This car sounds absolutely unreal. There is so much grunt and rawness to exhaust note and that alone will make you fall in love.
The performance is out of this world. You push the silver start button and you are greeted with that exhaust note, your gauges light up and an AMG logo appears on the centre screen – lightly reminding you that you have chosen the best. You proceed to pull off and that first gear change feels instant and smooth. Once warmed up, you can then put your foot down to the floor and you’ll be rushed to the back of your seat and you will stay glued there until you let off the accelerator pedal.
It has 5 driving modes: Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport + and Individual. Eco and Comfort speak for themselves, Sport tightens the throttle response, the steering weight, stiffen the adaptive suspension and refine transmission shift points. Sport plus furthermore does all that but also turns traction control off… Individual enables you to choose what setting each adaptive function is set to – for example – you could have suspension in comfort, but the throttle response, steering weight and shift points are all in sport.
