Take on look at this bike and you’ll straight away know that it’s a KTM! The KTM orange paint and the large logos give it away! Super distinctive with them LED front lights staring right at you.
Where to start with this bike’s features and tech? The riding position is quite high so you have a good view of traffic and any dangers and it’s also surprisingly light and easy to manoeuvre when onboard with a tight turning circle. It was built for on and off-road activities so it has everything! It has 4 riding modes – Street, Rain, Sport and Off-Road. Sports mode gives you the full 160hp, stiffens the suspension and sharpens the throttle response, the street mode is for normal everyday riding, Rain mode limits your hp to 100 and maximises the traction control and off-road mode gives you the best settings for the surface that you’re on. The semi-active suspension is just incredible on this bike. It does 50,000 calculations per second to adjust the dampening to the perfect setting for the situation you’re in or the road you’re on. You can also adjust it manually to suit your needs. The bike has some extremely useful features like cruise control, keyless start/stop, ABS and even a USB socket!
The KTM 1290 Super Adventure S is an amazing piece of kit. It’s laced with technology and features and built by one of the best!
This particular bike was specced with pretty much every option you could add, and very tastefully too.
Don’t be worried about winter riding on this machine, KTM thought about that giving you a heated seat and also heated grips, with different severities for all occasions.
If you’re looking for a machine to take you on an adventure with speed, comfort and reliability in mind, I don’t think there is a better tool for the job.
