Classic looks with modern technology. The single LED headlight with LED daytime running light and the Triumph logo in the centre looks fantastic and with the cafe racer kit, that headlight is surrounded by a sleek headlamp cowl for better aerodynamics. The indicators are also LED and they are brilliantly bright which makes them more noticeable for other riders/drivers keeping us safer! It has a black, silver, chrome, brushed aluminium and gold colour scheme which, when brought together, looks amazing. The gold adjustable Öhlins springs and forks contrast so well and make a huge difference. The tank has a gorgeous tank strap and a brushed aluminium filler cap which reflects what they used to be like in the 1960s – keeping their long heritage.
The great thing about modern bikes is that you can change how your bike performs at the push of a button! It has three modes; Rain, Road and Sport. Rain dials down the power and maximises the traction control for the safest ride, Road is essentially the middle ground and the most comfortable and Sport gives you full power and the most aggressive throttle response. You can also alter your traction control and ABS separately.
The seating position is nice and low (810mm) but gives you the ability to lean down or sit upright with straight arms and just cruise! It’s an incredibly comfortable position and the seat is finished in suede with red stitching.
Top of the line brakes have been used, of course, twin-disk Brembos on the front, surrounded by a 17″ wheel and single disk on the rear surrounded by an 18″ wheel.
Riding the bike is an exciting experience! It has a short wheelbase (144cm) so its super easy and fun to flick around corners and manoeuvre. There is also a slipper-clutch installed which mitigates the effects of engine braking when you decelerate as you enter corners, eliminating rear wheel hop making it much safer!
