The BMW X5 is a lovely looking car but when given to BMW’s M-Sport team, they make this car look insane. They’ve put on a beautiful set of 20″ two-tone alloy wheels that fill the wheel arches nicely. A set of M-Sport Bumpers and side skirts have been fitted which really transform these cars. The front bumper has some huge air intakes which look so aggressive alongside the LED halo headlights and the rear bumper makes space for and emphasises those huge chrome exhaust tips. The stunning Alpine white paint, the black bezels and rear privacy glass complement each other so well and the whole car is just absolutely stunning.
On the inside, you’ll find all the top materials and all the technology you can fit into a car! Black leather electrically adjustable heated sports seats with 2 memory presets, a gorgeous soft leather-wrapped M-Sport multifunctional electrically adjustable steering wheel with aluminium accents and the “M” logo on the centre spoke. Now, onto the really impressive technology – iDrive. iDrive is BMW’s multimedia system with just about everything you could ask for in a car! Its got all the basic stuff you’d expect like Radio, a CD player, Bluetooth media, phone connection and a HD SatNav but it also has things like a digital owners manual, a tyre pressure monitor that measures set each tyre individually and even all your cars mechanical statuses like your oil level, front and rear brake pad wear and the mileage until your next service! This is such a great idea from BMW because your car will tell you what needs to be done therefore prolonging the life of your car!
Driving the X5 is a true pleasure. The steering weight is light, the ride comfort is brilliant and the grip levels are, of course, incredible! This car is mainly designed for comfort and practicality, however, if you do want a little more involvement in your drive then don’t worry because BMW has thought of that too! There are different driving modes that you can switch between at the push of a button, Eco Pro, Comfort, Sport and Sport +. Eco Pro and Comfort speak for themselves, Sport tightens up the steering and throttle response and Sport + is Sport but with traction control off… for extra fun.
