This particular 320d has just been valeted and detailed by the Island’s best, DC Valeting and looks absolutely stunning. The black paint shines like new and the 5 spoke silver M-Sport alloy wheels stand out incredibly. The LED headlights are ever so aggressive and flow perfectly with the rest of the front end. The halo design gives the car such a distinctive look and there’s no doubt this is a quality BMW. Moving onto the side and the rear of this car, there are some beautiful lines that make their way from the front arches and flow all the way back to the rear quatres and the deep side skirts really stand out. On the boot lid, there’s a sleek spoiler and either side of that, are a set of mean looking rear headlight to match the front.
The inside is full of luxury materials and top technology such as heated leather sports seats (for the winter to come), a lovely soft feeling leather multifunctional steering wheel with attentive “M” coloured stitching and the “M” logo on the middle spoke. BMW’s iDrive is one of the best infotainment systems on the market. It has features such as an HD SatNav, Radio, AUX and USB, Bluetooth phone connection and BMW Apps which enables you to use apps from your phone on your car’s screen!
Like any BMW, this car drives like a dream. The gearbox is a solid 6-speed manual and the clutch is effortlessly light and easy. The steering is perfectly weighted for fun and for painless manoeuvring and it also has Comfort, Sport and Sport+ modes which change the characteristics of the car depending on the mode. Comfort speaks for itself. Sport tightens up the steering and throttle response and sport plus is just sport but it turns traction control off for that bit of extra excitement…
