The Mercedes CLS started the idea of a Coupe/Estate and other brands followed making Mercedes the class leader and the ones to look up to. Its sleek and sporty looks with a perfect balance between smooth and sharp body lines followed by a lovely set of silver 18″ 5 spoke AMG alloy wheels that contrast so well with the beautiful black paint.
As with any Mercedes, the drive is just an absolute delight. The power is delivered so smoothly the whole way through the rev range and the 7-speed automatic transmission shifts so quickly. The steering is ever so light and the suspension does an incredible job at soaking up all the bumps on the Islands roads. The CLS also has different driving modes: ECO for better economy, Sport for a more involving drive and manual for use of the shifter paddles mounted to the steering wheel.
The interior of this Benz is stunning. You are encased in pure luxury with the fully electrically adjustable heated leather ivory seats and the gorgeous smooth leather-wrapped multifunctional steering wheel. All the stitched leather pieces, the aluminium air vents and door handles, the wooden accents along the door cards, dash and the centre console all add up to an incredibly luxury interior that is just a real pleasure to be surrounded in when on the move. The infotainment is always brilliant in Mercedes’ cars. It’s all operated via a small scroll wheel right next to your left hand and it’s equipped with a SatNav, USB Storage, Bluetooth audio, radio and a DVD player that play through the fantastic Harmon/Kardon sound system. It’s also equipped with the ever so useful reversing camera and front and rear parking sensors.
