Description

Registered on the 05/10/2012. One of BMW’s finest cars.

The M5 is based on the luxury 5 series but with a little bit of an extra kick… and by little, I mean a kick that will absolutely rocket you from 0-60 in 4 seconds flat and make your face light up like never before. This is thanks to a huge 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 with a massive 560hp and 500lbft of torque all sent to your rear wheels by a fantastically smooth shifting 7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission. The DCT can be operated fully autonomously or manually by pushing the gear selector up and down or by using the aluminium paddle shifters on the rear of the steering wheel. There are some unique and special driving features included in the M5 to customize the driving experience to best suit your situation or preferences. You can customize your spring stiffness, steering wheel stiffness and your acceleration. These aspects can be adjusted to comfort, sport or sport plus for the best performance. On the steering wheel, there are two buttons which you can program to save your preferred settings i.e for daily driving and on the track so you can quickly switch between each of your favourite configurations. This BMW has an amazing growl to the exhaust and only gets better as the revs get higher.
Inside the M5 is a lovely place to be. Gorgeous, soft black electrically adjustable leather sports seats that hold you in ever so comfortably. A beautiful, thick, leather-wrapped multifunctional steering wheel with the “M” tri-coloured stitching on the inside rim. There’s piano black trim that spans its way across the dash and onto the door cards and the Alcantara headliner gives the interior a real luxury feel. The noise of the exhaust is very well suppressed and you can also have the speaker system give out artificial exhaust noise for the inside passengers to enjoy. It also has a lovely fully electric sunroof that opens at the push of a button and a delightful gauge cluster with silver outlined gauges and red needles. The M5 also comes with BMW’s fantastic IDrive infotainment system with all the multimedia option you could ask for, Radio, Bluetooth phone connectivity, an integrated car manual and all you vehicle settings.
The M5 has such a sophisticated look and doesn’t really look like a car with so much power and capability. The larger front air vents, the side grills, side skirts, the subtle rear spoiler and the quad-pipe exhaust system are subtle differences from the normal 5 series that make it a bit of a sleeper and will surprise people when you leave them in the dust.
A real supercar contender with all the practicality you could ask for.
