The A5 Sportback walks a fine line between handling and comfort but manages to do a good job on both fronts. Under the bonnet we have the very torquey 2.7 V6 Turbo diesel 7 speed automatic engine , which produces 230 BHP and a magnificent 40 mpg in return. You should not have to worry at all about the Audi A5 Sportback reliability as Audi has a superb reputation for build quality and engineering. On the corners the Sportback is very impressive and has excellent body control and very responsive steering. It’s very composed and smooth at high speeds which makes it a relaxing cruiser for both the driver and passengers but the power will always be there when you need it.

On the S-line trim it includes sport suspension , 19-inch gloss black alloy wheels, Bang & Olufsen sound system , black polished radiator and matt black fog light surrounds.

As you’d expect of an Audi, the build quality of the A5 S-Line cabin is superb with high quality materials used throughout and a very upmarket feel. The driving position is spot-on and there’s masses of adjustment in both the seats and steering column which moves for height and reach. Everything works with real precision and the main controls are all easy to use , such as the steering wheel functions which allows you to answer phone calls , control the radio and basically prevents you from having to take your hands off the wheel at any time making safety a priority. An electric parking brake means space is freed up on the central console and all models come with a colour screen and a central dial via which all the stereo and sat-nav functions can be controlled.  The dashboard is a standard Audi affair, with a simple layout and a clear set of dials, while all of the switches and buttons have a satisfying action with a nice ‘click’ or ‘clunk’. On the A5 it also comes with Front and rear parking sensors, cruise control, DAB radio , Bluetooth and an Aux plug. The Audi A5 Comfort levels are pretty impressive on the S-Line spec, the seats are fully leather heated and more sporty which offer exceptional side support for when cornering at higher speeds. Inside the rear of the A5 the passengers leg room is absolutely exceptional allowing plenty of room for each passenger to relax and enjoy the smooth ride.  The sport back shape means wind noise is very low as it cuts through the wind, even at high speeds, while excellent noise insulation and the refined engine makes the cabin serenely comfortable. The A5 does have a colossal boot, with 480 litres that can be extended to 980 litres by folding the rear seats. Unlike some of its rivals, the A5 Sportback’s rear seats fold completely flat and this makes it ideal for carrying large items as they can slide along the boot floor without obstruction.
