These cars are just brilliant. They are like an old friend that you can always rely on!
There’s no doubt, the MK6 Golf is a good looking car. Finished in a striking black with a lovely set of 16″ silver alloy wheels, a sleek roof spoiler and 5 doors! What’s not to like? The rear end of this car is so clean and uncluttered, there are no badges or lettering and there isn’t even a boot handle! Well, there isn’t a noticeable one, it’s incorporated into the VW logo. How clever!
On the inside, you’ll find some soft cloth sports seats and a leather-wrapped multifunctional steering wheel with an aluminium accent on the centre spoke. Your infotainment system is a large touchscreen with DAB radio, an AUX jack, a USB port so you can charge your phone, Bluetooth Telephone connection and even Bluetooth audio! When in reverse, a parking aid graphic will show up on your screen showing your front and rear parking distances to help to get into those tight spots. There’s plenty of room for all the family in this car!

Driving this Golf is exactly as you’d expect from any Volkswagen – a really fulfilling experience. Your clutch, your steering and your gear shifter are all lightweight and effortless to use. The suspension and high profile tyres really soak up all of the island’s bumps and lumps, paired with those previously mentioned soft seats, it really is a comfortable ride.

This Golf is also a very cheap car to run, £68 tax per year, a 1.6 turbo diesel engine that returns an impressive 62mpg and lastly, an insurance group of 14!
