Inside there are beautiful black leather heated seats and a delightful leather M Sports steering wheel with the attentive M coloured stitching. The 4-litre V8 engine grumbles its way through the low revs and, due to 8 individual throttle bodies, proceeds to scream its way all the way up to 8400rpms. It’s a truly significant noise. The automatic gearbox makes gear changes happen almost instantaneously and it sounds like a dragon clearing its throat every time it shifts. It puts the power down ever so well and with the tight, direct steering, stiff chassis and excellent suspension, handles like a dream.
