This rare Golf R32 in Reflex silver was the first Golf to receive the special “R32” badge. It’s equipped with a V6 engine pushing a huge 285hp through a fantastic Haldex 4-Wheel drive system. The suspension and handling are incredible. It grips the road on every corner with minimal body roll which gives you great confidence and will put a massive smile on your face. Another thing that will make you smile uncontrollably is the exhaust noise that comes from the rear end of this car. The V6 exhaust note is incredible and sounds better and better as you go up through the rev range.
On the inside, you’ll find a lovely leather 3 spoke steering wheel and delightful “R” embossed, comfortable leather sports seats that really hold you in place. This particular R32 is fitted with a touchscreen infotainment system with SatNav, Bluetooth Phone connectivity and an AUX port. The gauge cluster lights up blue and red when you turn the lights on and there are aluminium trim pieces scattered around that really help to break up the interior. The R32 is also fitted with metal sports pedals with the “R” logo on each pedal.
This golf is quite easily recognisable from the other mark 4’s due to the more aggressive front and rear bumpers, the dual exhaust pipes and the “R” logos on the front wings, the front grill and the tailgate. The R32 also comes with Volkswagen Racing springs so the stance is lower and it will handle better and, as mentioned above, that exquisite exhaust noise.
The start of a legacy that still goes on to this day.
