The Red Edition RS has every feature and quirk that a “normal” RS could possibly have and more! These unique features include the black roof, mirror caps, wind deflectors and roof spoiler to match with the black forged 19″ alloy wheels. The colour scheme is so striking and noticeable when on the road with their huge air intakes, aggressive bi-xenon headlights, deep side skirts and dual rear exhaust pipes that pops and bangs in the high rev range. Some aftermarket touches are also fitted to the exterior of this car including a TRC Lowline Splitter kit really making it stand out from the crowd.
Inside, the Race Red edition is equipped with a lovely heated, leather-wrapped, blue-stitched, flat-bottomed steering wheel and some half-leather heated Recaro sports seats. Also fitted is some carbon fibre accents on the handbrake, door handles and around the auxiliary dials for that extra sense of speciality only in the Edition RS. Standard features in the RS are the wonderful SYNC 3 infotainment system that’s easy to use and includes Radio, Bluetooth Phone Connectivity, SatNav, USB, Reversing camera and also a 3.5mm jack which is all you could ask for in a car. The practicality levels are also great in this car with the 4 doors, Isofix points and generous boot space.
This Red Edition RS is the only MK3 RS fitted with a front LSD. This is what customers have been asking Ford to equip the RS with since it first came out in 2016. This is going to help with your front end traction and make you more planted and give you even more grip on the corners. This, along with the fantastic Haldex 4-wheel drive system and the aftermarket H&R springs add up to an amazing car around any corner. However, the RS isn’t all about racing because the silky smooth short shifter manual gearbox and the easy clutch makes this car lovely to drive even when you’re not pushing the cars limits.
